Play ball. Have fun. Make dreams come true.
We need your team’s help to grant as many wishes as possible!
The Team Challenge has become the single largest factor in the growth of the tournament’s contribution to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® over the last several years. Although not a requirement to entering the SPFK tournament, teams are strongly encouraged to raise additional funds to donate to this incredible organization that brings hope, strength and joy to children with life threatening medical conditions (and there are awesome prizes for the top fundraising teams!). Whether your team’s contribution is $10 or $10,000, every bit counts towards granting the wish of a child.
If your team raises $7,000 or more you get to participate in Adopt-A-Wish® and you will know exactly who your team raised money for!
The SPFK wish crew is here to support you in your fundraising efforts. A few ideas for fundraising include:
1) Participate in the SPFK Raffle. Starting later in April, each team can sign out raffle ticket books by contacting Liz (firstname.lastname@example.org). All tickets sold go towards your team challenge total. Please note that as we run this licenced raffle on the tournament weekend, no other raffles/draws will be permitted at the tournament itself.
2) Hold a third party fundraiser. Examples of past fundraisers include: holding a BBQ during your regular league games, poker nights, beer pong tournaments, scavenger hunts. Please notify Liz (email@example.com) if you are hosting a third party event and we will provide you with an information package (including tools, the do’s and don’ts, logo use etc.).
3) Collect personal and corporate donations. A form is included in this package that is required to be submitted with all donations so that we can easily track what has been submitted by you and your team.
Please contact us if you have any questions about fundraising – we are here to help you!
The teams that raise the most money will get a fantastic team prize in addition to getting beer and food tickets on the weekend of the event: raise $1000, get $200 in concession tickets, raise $1500, get $300 in concession tickets and so on and so on (to a maximum of $500 worth of tickets).
Besides getting free stuff, more importantly you will be helping to grant wishes to children who have life threatening medical conditions. What better reason is there than to get out now and start fundraising???
